• Shungite (deep matte black): a carbon-rich, Karelian material with sub-metallic lustre—often chosen as a protective talisman in modern wear. 
• Obsidian (glossy jet black): natural volcanic glass famed for its smooth texture and conchoidal fracture; historically prized and today worn for clarity and protection themes.
